I look at a city, Huge skyscrapers, Smog, Cars in traffic jams.
She sees, Palaces and Diamond Dust, Chariots waiting on ladies.
What a gift to see Through the eyes of a child.
I look at a park, Trees Benches Grass and flowers.
She sees People in disguise, Flying benches waiting for the word, Small fairies hiding in the petals.
What a wonder to see Through the eyes of a child.
I look at my house. Furniture, A place to sleep, A place to clean.
She sees Jungle gyms, Darkness to fight mosters, Bad things to sweep away.
What a surprise to see, Through the eyes of a child.
I look at the world, War between men, Fights between races, Pain, anger and strife.
She sees Life and beauty, Friends without color, Smiles, laughter and games.
What a joy to see Through the eyes of a child.
I look at a sunset, Beginning of night, Ending of work, Time to sleep.
She sees Angels covering the sun, A hug and a story from mom and dad, A time to dream of elves and pixies whispering in her ears.
What a beautiful thing, To see through the eyes of a child.
