So, I host a contest on my site every 2 months or so, and I figured I'd post them here. Join if you like. Feel free to chat and ask questions and whatever you want in this thread. You can also post your entries in this thread, but I'd prefer you submit it to the tagboard. It doesn't matter either way though. Tagboard: raindrops.lemon-drop.net/contest.php (scroll down) Disney Gone BadClosed. The theme of this month's contest is Disney Gone Bad. What you're going to do is take some pictures from or resembling a children's story and make it look like a horror or gore fest. The story doesn't necessarily have to be from Disney, I just call it that because it's catchy. Examples include Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Snow White, Alice In Wonderland, etc. (Sample entry above.) Rules: - The story you use must be a children's story, and you must make it look considerably darker. (obviously) The entire point of this contest is the irony. - The pictures you use in your blend don't have to be from a movie adaptation or anything, but it must closely resemble the story. - Please make your entry 700 by 500 pixels. - Have the title of the story somewhere on the blend. raindrops.lemon-drop.net/contestdisney.php

SymmetryClosed. - Everything in your blend has to have a line of symmetry. The text, textures, and brushes, as well as the pictures. No, I am not going to say OMG HER FACE IS TWO PIXELS LEFT OF WHERE IT IS ON THE OTHER SIDE !&$# but just do the best you can, that's all I ask. Just have some common sense and you should be fine. - There is one exception to the rule above: The colors don't have to be the same on both sides. - Please make your entry 700 by 500 pixels. - Go crazy. raindrops.lemon-drop.net/contestsym.php

Fictional MoviesThe theme of this month's contest is Fictional Movies. Your entry is going to be a movie poster for a movie that does not exist. This can include a fictional movie adaptation of a book, poem, story you've written, anything you want. It can also be a fictional sequel to a movie that already exists. And of course you can totally just make up whatever you want, like I did with my sample entry. A few tips: Try to make your entry as professional looking as possible by adding actors, a date representing when it will come out in theatres, a rating, the random texty credits thing at the bottom, etc. For the actors, you can name any off the top of your head or include the people you used in your poster. It's up to you. You can also pick any date, and make it fit with your movie's theme if you want. As for the bottom of the poster and the rating, just google movie posters and use the bottoms of those. Rules: - Your movie must be fictional, though you can still use pictures from real movies. It doesn't matter if the title of your movie happens to be the title of a real movie. - Make your entry ***500 by 700 pixels*** (NOT 700 x 500).
