The world that we live in...is not all that it seems. Rumours of great fantasy run in the air. Stories of vampires hidden away in citadels deep in mountains, metal ships appearing out of the sea, men who can slip into shadows, an invading army from a far away world. Unfortunately all of these rumours are true.
So against these threats, Queen Victoria has created a secret organisation, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, composed of unique individuals and protecting the British Empire from any threats, of this world or not. This organisation bows to no one save the authority of Her Majesty. Possessing incalculable wealth and power, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is often the first to respond to attacks made against the Empire. The question is, however, will they remain loyal to the Queen and country or will personal desire rule their hearts.
All in all, you can play any character that is modeled from a fictional book or graphic novel. For example, if you can make it fit, you can play Harry Potter or Batman. That's the key point, though, it somehow has to fit into the Victorian Era. Ideal characters are those that come from that era, such as Griffin (The Invisible Man), Captain Nemo (20,000 Leagues Under the Sea), Dorian Grey (The Picture of Dorian Grey), etc. In addition, as long as, for the most part, its profile remains loyal to the original source, you are welcome to change several aspects of the character.
However there are some restrictions in this RPG
1. No godmodding. That goes without saying. If you obtain permission prior to it, however, it is allowed. Unfortunately you and the person whose character you'll be controlling must say that in this RPG
2. No Mary-Sues or the derivatives. No one's perfect in our world. Why should this world be any different?
3. No unsuitable or illogical anachronisms. What do I mean by that? Well, steam powered tanks are allowed because of the technological nature at the time. Infrared nuclear missiles, on the other hand, are NOT allowed because the nucleus was not discovered until 1911, let alone the capacity to split it.
4. Always remember the time setting of this RPG. Try to incorporate the culture, the language, the slang, the allusions. For example, do not allude to events like the Second World War or people like Adolf Hitler, because neither of them came to prominence until much later.
5. Try to post something close to five sentences. I understand if you're too tired to write anything but try not to do it too often.
6. Have fun.
