So, are ghosts real? Or just a figment of people's imaginations?
I think it's possible that they are, but I try not to think about it too much because I end up scaring myself. xD
Oh, and for anybody who has had an experience with ghosts, I'd like to hear it!

Ghosts! I believe in them 100%. I've had a few personal experiences, myself.
1. It was a few summers ago, and I was getting a pot (or a pan, I can't quite recall) out of my cabinet to cook something. We have counters that wrap all the way around three walls almost... sortof. Anyway, so obviously there are corners, meaning two cabinets are almost facing each other. So I was down getting a pot, and I stood up and shut the cabinet. And right after I shut it the door to the other cabinet flew open and smacked into the door that I'd just shut, right where my head had just been. Freaky.
2. On the same day, my neighbor was over and we decided to see if we could do some EVP work. EVP stands for Electronic Voice Phenomena, and it's when you pretty much take a tape recorder and ask the 'spirit' or whatever you'd want to call it questions, then you play it back and see if you got anything. We weren't really expecting anything, but boy we we surprised when after I asked the question "Can we help you?" there was a voice that responded "Please help us." <- woah.
3. This was more recent, and involves nothing more than a moving 'cold spot', which people believe is a sign of a spirit trying to manifest itself. I was sitting right here at my computer when suddenly I noticed that my hands were freezing. I was like: Okay, whatever, my hands are cold. Woop-dee-doo. Then I turned around to watch some TV, and my hands were still cold. Then the cold literally started at the tips of my toes and moved up my body about halfway, and I was tingling all over. It was really weird, but then a few minutes later, it stopped and there was no trace. I even got mum's boyfriend to stick his hand near my hands and he was surprised at how cold it was.
4. I was sitting at my computer a while back, and it was about three in the morning. I turned around, and I saw the trail of a dress disappearing into the next room.
5. It was this summer, and I was sitting here, my mom was asleep in her room. And all of a sudden I heard footsteps in the hall behind me. So I whirled around, and at the same time my mom called "Jessica, is that you walking down the hallway!?"
I've got more, but... yeah. =] Those are my experiences with the dead, or else it was just crazy coincidence.

I'd shut one door, and another would open. I think it can be explained by air pressure, though. The whoosh effect. I don't know The other stories are definitely creepy. Raivynn, care to share?

I believe but like to forget because I freak myself out a lot. Like right now. Putting too much thought into it.
I have a hard time closing my eyes when I shower, looking down from a mirror and coming back up, turning my back to an open door.
I have a VERY overactive imagination.

WOAH. Same exact thing here. I get scared to wash my face in the shower because I have to close my eyes for a few seconds, I'm afraid of looking at the mirror sometimes, and I always have to shut the door if my back is facing it.
Stupid asian horror probably did some of this to me.

Lady Dark Moon: I'll post some stuff up tomorrow sometime. My body is aching for a nice comfy mattress and warm blankies.

I most definitely believe in ghosts. I've heard way too much in my parents' house not to believe in them.
The creepiest incident was when I was home alone for a week several years ago. I was on the second floor about to enter the TV room when I heard voices down in the entrance hall. One was male, slightly older and one was either a young male or a female. They were talking. I couldn't make any words out but there was some definite chatting going on down there. At first I thought nothing of it, as I just assumed that my family had come home a couple of days early. But when I didn't hear anyone come up the stairs or anything I went down to check where they were. And of course, there was no one there. My family came home a couple of days later. And just to let you guys know; there is no radio or TV or anything down there that could possibly have made a sound. I distinctly heard two people talking.
The weirdest thing about it? My brother and sister have both experienced this. Not together. On separate occasions when they too had been alone. We only found out we all had experienced it when my brother once let it slip that it had happened to him (before I had even mentioned it had happened to me). Their descriptions were identical to mine.

I'm about to get tomatoes thrown at me.
I can just feel it.
Ah well, here goes.
I do believe in the supernatural. I believe in evil spirits (demons and the like.) However, I don't believe that people's souls can return to this earth. I believe that, when someone's body dies, their soul goes to either Heaven or Hell, and they cannot return here unless God allows them to. (And why...well that's a different question.)
So, as to ghosts being the souls of the deceased, doomed to wander this Earth: no. Ghosts being demons doing what they do best: decieving people: yes. Do they freak me out? Heck yes.
