For the benefit and ease of all us debaters, I would like for us to cite the sources where we get our information. It does not have to be complex citations. Rather, just putting the site or book where we got our information. By doing this, we can retort to arguments better and have more coherent debates.

I would add to that the clause where possible. Often times, there is information exchanged that has developed from years of studying a subject, rather than immediate sources of information. While I'll happily supply sources on specific quotes or on current news type information, its a little hard to cite sources from things I've learned over the years. I will, however, try to make the distinction between specific quotes and current information and more generalized knowledge that has been filtered through my own opinions.
Just a thought here too, opinion in debate is a fine thing. In fact, it's hard to debate passionately without opinion. We just need to be sure we delineate between fact and opinion and don't present one as the other.
