Oh! Japanese, that's so cool! I'm atm attempting to learn it Meh, my native languages is Dutch...I speak English & French fluently, German, almost, but I refuse to perfection it because I dislike the language... ;D Uhm..Bits and pieces of Spanish, Finnish and Italian. I understand some fragments of most other European languages. I can read ancient Greek and Latin, but I seriously suck at writing it, the grammar is so complicated and my patience isn't the most enormous in the world xD

Wooow that's a lot of languages. And awesome, good luck with japanese! Is it hard for you? I can see how it can be hard, the grammar is so different. (It's like, yoda talk if you translate directly into english. xD)

Hehe, you're sort of forced to learn many languages when you live in a country that speaks a language that sounds like gibberish to the main part of the world xD Uhm, I don't know, lol. I only just started out, I'm now first learning to phonetically read/write Katakana & Hiragana, so I can't actually understand any of the language yet Hope I soon get to that though Lol, that sounds like translated Latin. They ( the Romans) just mixed words in a way that's impossible in my language ( main part of the grammar of my language is based on the order in which the words are written ) and sounds funny in English xD

Ahhh I see. Good luck with that. And good luck with learning kanji afterwards, haha. I hate kanji so much.
Hahaha yeah. It'd turn out to be something like "I shower will take."

I can speak very fluent English, French and really choppy Cantonese that few people understand. I'm learning Old English and I want to learn Swedish, Finnish and German. I should know Spanish because my dad is Spanish, but when my parents divorced he took off and I never learned. ;D

I speak mainly English, a little bit of French, a little bit of Taiwanese, and a little little bit of Mandarin. I'm hoping to teach myself Italian and Spanish, though.

I'm fluent in sarcasm.
Okay, that doesn't count. I speak English, a bit of Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Dutch. Learning Portuguese this year, hopefully. Never really got into speaking Japanese and Chinese, but I'd like to eventually learn how to write it. And I really want to learn Latin, though it's not a priority.

^ You speak some Dutch?! Wow, lol, that's really rare and pretty much useless outside of my country xD If you ever want help with a translation or whatever, just ask. And yeah Keyo, I'm not reaaaaallly looking forward to Kanji, hehe. The stories I've heard about it sounded very horror-esque. And however much a I love a twisted story, I like them mainly when they are not anywhere during/near life xD No, but seriously, is it really that hard?

^ My last boyfriend was Dutch South African, so I heard him and his parents speak it a lot. Plus an old friend of mine tried to teach me a Flemmish dialect of it like two years ago. I can't spell any of it to save my life, but I can speak and understand a little. =P
I should have added Elvish to my list. Nerd that I am, I used to speak it fluently; now I just know a bunch of scrambled phrases.

Er, well... www.sljfaq.org/afaq/how-many-kanji.htmlAnd you have to write the kanji in the correct order and such. But actually, you just have to get used to it. There are some things in common that can help you figure out what the kanji means. For example, the kanji for tree is skinny-fied and used in a lot of different kanji, and usually those words are connected to trees somehow. And if the kanji for moon is skinny-fied and used in a kanji, it usually has to do with the human body. I think all the kanji for human organs has the kanji for moon in them. By the way, skinny-fied is a word. Look it up. Actually, don't.

I speak English fluently, obviously, I've been taking Spanish for the past 11 years of my life, though that doesn't mean I can really speak it or anything... I've been teaching myself Japanese (with keyodie's help), and I would really like to learn Dutch. D; Oh, and I've been teaching myself Elvish.

I'm learning Welsh and Irish... also a little bit of Scots Gaelic. Hopefully I will be having Latin lessons again soon... I went to Latin Club after school in Year 9 (I had to give up History Club to do so- yes I'm a nerd ) but in Year 10 I was the only person who wanted to carry on so they couldn't continue it. *sniff* However, the same guy is now interested in doing a Latin Club at college but there's about 150 people wanted to do it (it looks good on your UCAS form ) so we have to write a letter about why we want to do it and about 40 people will be allowed... So I find out on Monday *fingers crossed*

English and Jibberish.
I am the ultimate epic fail where languages are concerned. Every single one I've tried to learn I flop at it spectacularly. I am hopeless.

^ Awww poor Stimpy!
I speak Swedish and English fluently. Swedish is my mother tongue. I also speak Spanish, Icelandic and German to various degrees (nowhere near fluent level though). I can understand Danish and Norwegian (especially written-wise) extremely well and I find written Dutch to be fairly understandable.
Oh and being such a huge Lord of the Rings fan, granted I know a wee bit of Quenya and Sindarin. I would absolutely LOVE to be fluent in those. I'd also love to learn Anglo-Saxon and Old Norse, as well as be fluent in Icelandic.
I LOVE languages! ;D
