Hmm maybe we could have it set ten years from the events in The Amber Spyglass? Or do you want to just do a parallel steampunk world with daemons.

I think a parallel world would be more fun, and would kinda fit the books anyways. One of us could write up a summary of the world for those that haven't read HDM.

That would be nice. Something about the style of the books...I couldn't read them. I tried. I've never made it any farther than the third chapter of The Golden Compass.

Since everyone's gone until August, I think it makes sense that we all wait until then to think of plots and characters and settings, agreed?

I think that's a very good idea, really. No one's even around right now so it'd make more sense to worry about this later on.

On a completely unrelated note, everything looks tiny on my brother's laptop. Like banners? If they were actually that small, I'd have so much more fun making them.
Also, I don't have time to think of plots, characters, etc. via keyboard, but I do have a short little bio thing I wrote up when I got bored. I'll post it when I get home.

Oh, another completely random note... Eric and I were discussing the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and it was mentioned what a great idea was behind that movie. You know, having a bunch of characters from different books all in the same story? Captain Nemo from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Tom Sawyer from the Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Mina Harker from Count Dracula, Dorian Gray from the Picture of Dorian Gray, etc. Would there be any interest in this sort of roleplay? You certainly don't have to know the movie, because it wasn't that great, you'd just have to know the book of the character you'd want.

I would absolutely love joining an RP like that. I really enjoyed the concept behind the movie, though I had to admit I was a little biased on Dorian Gray because I loved the Oscar Wilde novel he was from... I could go on about him, but I shall stop for now... the fact is. Yes, I would be very much interesting in an RP such as that.

Hah, I also loved the Picture of Dorian Gray. But I really didn't think he was too bad at the beginning, and then it just went downhill from there.

Alright, so. I have a bunch of ideas for roleplays, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested. ;D
The first idea is an RPG that revolves around fugitives/escapees. I'm not sure of the specifics, but it sounds kinda thrilling. Teehee.
Another idea is a horror-esque RPG. I've only tried this once, but I wasn't really serious about it and am interested in where we could take the whole "horror" idea in a roleplay.
And lastly, we definitely need a fantasy slash medieval slash swordfights slash group of companions and adventurers that are searching for something slash awesome RPG. Anyone agree?

Well, goodness knows I'm all about the horror, Kit. I would absolutely love an RPG like that.

I'm actually quite up for a Zombie RP. We should totally do it.
The question is. Traditional Romero Zombies? or 28 Days/Res Evil style fast fuckers?

Unfortunately I haven't seen the Romero movies. >_< You'll have to explain them to me.

Romero zombies were just dumb and slow. That's about all there was to them.
And I'd be up for both Zombie or just a regular horror style RP. Either way.

Ahh okay. Hmm. Well, I'd go for either. Why don't we make an RPG that combines both, plus vampires and werewolves and demons and angels and basically as many badass creatures as we could possibly fit into an RPG? xD
As for horror, would you prefer the stereotypical Asian horror with the vengeful ghost and the characters have to go explore in order to prevent their death, or would you prefer the more haunted house esque type thing?

I'm personally more inclined towards the haunted house type thing. As for the badass creature RPG, I'm totally down for that.

Hahaha badass creature RPG. xD Awesome. So what exactly would be the plot for that?
And yeah, the haunted house type thing seems more appropriate for roleplaying. So what should the characters be? A new family that movies into a new town, or a couple kids on a dare, or something else that's original? ;D
